Marine Air Compressor Introduction


Ship's compressed air system

The ship's compressed air system is one of the ship's pipeline systems, which mainly provides compressed air for generators, main engine start-up, debris blown off at the seadoor and other places on board where compressed air is needed.

air compressor, pressure switch, air cylinder, pressure reducing valve group, conveying pipeline, terminal equipment and control valve.

5. The function of the conveying pipeline of the ship's compressed air system is to transfer compressed air to mechanical equipment (and premises) to serve the ship.

6. Terminal equipment is the machinery or equipment that needs compressed air to work, is the use of compressed air terminal, that is, the service object of compressed air system.

Air compressor operation

The air compressor opens when the pressure of the air cylinder is insufficient under the control of the automatic pressure switch, and closes automatically when the pressure meets the requirements of the system to ensure that the air cylinder has enough compressed air.

System work

The compressed air in the air cylinder is first reduced through the pressure reducing valve group, and then the control valve is opened to supply compressed air to the equipment that needs to be operated.

Standby facility work

In general, the design of ships must have spare air compressor and auxiliary air cylinder, when the main air compressor needs to be repaired, manual or remote control to open the spare air compressor to ensure the work of the system. Compressed air in the auxiliary air cylinder is usually not used. When the main air cylinder pressure is insufficient and the ship is in blackout or the air compressor can not work properly, open the outlet valve of the auxiliary air cylinder to supply compressed air to the system to ensure the normal operation of the system

Marine horn is a set of sound signal equipment, general use compressed air or high pressure steam as power, have button and hand cable two type;

Fog horn is a set of ship automatic sound system design in fog navigation, can automatically control the whistle from the specified navigation signal.

Working principle
